Marbella Christmas Lights Switch-On

1 December

Marbella and San Pedro de Alcántara officially kick off the season with thousands of sparkling lights and decorated shop windows. It’s a popular pastime for families to gather to watch the towns come alive as thousands of sparkling lights illuminate the streets, creating a festive and magical atmosphere.

Marbella Christmas Market – Alameda Park & Avenida del Mar

1 December – 6 January 2026

This is where Marbella’s classic Christmas atmosphere truly comes alive. Alameda Park transforms into a cosy Christmas scene, lined with wooden stalls of handcrafted gifts, artisanal treats and festive décor. There’s also a Santa’s Grotto, where children can personally deliver their Christmas wishes. From there, wander along the glowing Avenida del Mar and into the Old Town’s, Plaza de los Naranjos, home to Marbella’s main Nativity scene.

Puerto Banús Ice-Skating Rink

A fun festive activity for kids in Plaza Antonio Banderas with optional skating lessons available.

(All skaters need to take a pair of gloves, as they need to be worn for protection).
